Funemployment Radio™ Episode 75

Today it was just Sarah and the Nibman and we cracked a Mickeys and started the show! We started watching the Olympics this morning and watched the US KILL Finland, and saw a bunch of grown men cry. Kind of awkward. Also, today was quite exciting because yes, my friends, we launched our new website!! Alright, enough whoring. Today we discovered that Greg can pick locks, Sarah got rid of an old DVD player in a quest to not be a hoarder, and Greg feels vindicated about his “donating” broken objects to a Goodwill due to the type of staff it employs from a phone call we received. We then talked about Canada, talked about our signs (Greg’s a skittley Cancer, Sarah’s a crazy Libra), and had Ball Talk where we had Greg’s special “Olympics Coverage”, where fawned over hot lady snowboarders and made his prediction for who’s going to win gold in the Hockey game on Sunday. Sarah had Entertainment news about Boner, Sea World, a drunk police officer, and the best damn video resume you’ll see all day.

We ended with stories about our trips to Canadia, which include black-market beer and prostitutes, and the finale was a karaoke song by Greg’s favorite band. It didn’t have many words, but the ones that were there, oh, it was magical.

Today we started off the show talking about, of course, hoarding. I swear people, if you’ve never seen the A&E show “Hoarders” then you’re missing out. If you’ve been looking for inspiration to clean your house or get rid of things you don’t need – this is the show for you. Seriously, watch it. Okay, enough of that. We also talked about Batman, cooking, painting (Sarah just finished a dog painting today!), leaving belongings on the side of the road that you no longer want (we, of course, do not condone this) and hockey.

Rick Emerson came to the studio today (it’s always so awesome to see him!) and we chatted about Outlook Portland (more info at www.outlookportland.com), as well as a horrific story about a killer whale. Yes, folks, he was in prime Rick Emerson form, and it was just as hilarious (and, of course, inappropriate) as you think it would be. Sarah had Entertainment News about Bob Hope being a manwhore, who the new Captain America will be, and the greatest sequel ever is in the works – yes, my friends, I AM talking about… Showgirls 2.

Sarah and Chris Patyk dorkily talked about lost and the meaning of the numbers (did you know that 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42 all add up to 108 – which was the number in the lighthouse and the amount of minutes they had to hit the button in the hatch? Wow. I am a colossal nerd.), and Greg had an awesome Ball Talk about a dude that is addicted to Mtn. Dew and straws (seriously), and Olympics coverage that only he can uncover – oh yes, the shit has hittith the fan for a few teams.

Good rainy Wednesday to you folks! Greg has had no sleep and Sarah just got a tattoo… oh, it’s a good one.

Today we chatted about Sarah’s collection (hoard) of purses and the interesting things she found in them when she cleaned them out for the first time in eight years. Yes, eight years. We also talked about Boyz in tha Hood and the fact that Nibs hasn’t taken his garbage out… in quite some time.

Greg then had Ball Talk the Nets and the Blazers kicking their ASS last night, a lady who looks like a sausage, and an unfortunate prank phone call on ESPN. Sarah had Entertainment News where she talked about Hillary Duff (and a TRULY amazing link to accompany it – see below. That is one grateful girl), Matthew Fox having a supposed affair with someone in Bend, and a lady who was saved by a shooting by her own fat. Literally.

Sarah had to leave for a bit to get a tattoo (thanks, Lucky!), and when she got back we babbled on, and then sang a pretty damn amazing karaoke song.

Funemployment Radio™ Episode 72

Hey there friends!
Today’s show was just the Nibman and Sarah, and it was a good one. We started out chatting about water aerobics (which Sarah is now obsessed with), along with a dude that bought an online island, Gold Bond and the creepy things dudes do with it, and what the hell Farmville is (we still have no clue).

Nibs had Ball Talk with lots of Blazer and Olympics coverage – including speaks of figure skating and snowboarding. Sarah also had Olympics news in Entertainment News – including the petition for a new event for the next one. Also, dude from Growing Pains is missing, and a man was arrested for break-dancing. It was a slow news day.

We ended with a new movie script, read, of course, by Sammi and Ronnie, and it’s from one of our favorite movies ever (and no, it’s not from Silence of the Lambs –EVER AGAIN. I think we made a mistake, Michael).

Happy Monday to you all! Hope you all had a good weekend!

Today we talked about our times this weekend, including going out on Friday night (where Tuggy got the Nibman a bit drunky – so much so that he fell off of his porch – and it was glorious), having drinks with exes, seeing shows and feeling the most single you ever have (Sarah went and saw Magnetic Fields last night – turns out that it’s basically a couples-only event). Also, we talked about Butters eating garbage and how much you should tip for shitty service (zero).

Aaron Duran came in and we chatted a bit about getting metal pads implanted in your head to hold up your glasses, then went into Ball Talk and chatted about the Blazers (yeah…), as well as some Olympic news from this weekend, including the US beating Canada’s ass – ot was awesome. Sarah chatted about Facebook stabbings for entertainment news, as well as Heidi Montag and her quest for bigger boobs and, of course, shitshow of the year: Tila Tequila. Watch out Texas, she’s coming your way ☺

We ended talking about ghosts, and we’re going to be investigating Tuggy’s house this next weekend and see what we come up with. We also had the best karaoke song EVER! Well, at least Sarah and Aaron think so.

Good Friday to you all!

Today was awesome, and we started it with talking about high school and how awesome it was (not really), weed, going to creepy summer camp, and nuns as Principals (I still don’t like you, Sister Dolores). Then we had the infamous Bill Oakley on the show to drink some malt liquor and share his experiences about writing and producing for “The Simpsons”. It was kind of hilarious, and he gave us a bunch of inside scoop on what it’s like to work on the most recognized cartoon on the planet.

Greg had Ball Talk, which highlighted a ton of Olympics news (ah, petty figure skaters – we love you), as well as the Canada vs. USA game this Sunday, and Sarah talked about Sean Penn, the slut gene, Ronnie from Jersey Shore (of course), and Sarah Palin getting an ass-whipping. It was kind of genius.

We ended with talking more about the Simpsons, including the best guest stars to work with, and Greg and Sarah sang an embarrassing rendition of a well-known song for karaoke. Ah, all’s well that ends well, and we’re ready to drink beer in the backyard.

Good lord it’s beautiful outside today. Happy Thursday!

Today it was just Sarah and the Nibman, and the show got off to a nerdy start with talks of video games that we loved as kids (Wizards and Warriors, anyone?), as well as a really creepy story about people being able to break into your computer and watch you through your camera while you’re at home. Hence the reason we are both crazy people (Sarah covers her camera with a band-aid, Nibs with a piece of toilet paper). We then moved onto Ball Talk and spoke about the Olympics (go Shawn White!), as well as an update on Tiger Woods (douchebag).
Sarah had Entertainment News which was about some dude kicked off of an airplane, our fave shitshow Tila Tequila, and a heartbreak on Jersey Shore that has hit home with us.

Speaking of Jersey Shore, we did, indeed, have the most disturbing ‘Ronnie and Sammi’ segment ever. Some movies just probably shouldn’t be recited in a Jersey accent. Just sayin’.

Happy Wednesday, ya’ll! It’s Tuggy day!

Today started out wholesome enough, we chatted about True Blood (the Nibman is totally getting into it! Yay!), as well as addressing the issue of Kevin Smith and his getting kicked off of a plane for being too, shall we say, obese. Yes, we’ve received a lot of emails about it, and chatted about the issue in the way that we believe it should have been handled. I don’t know… buying two seats knowingly, and then downgrading down to one and being pissed? Not sure if that makes sense… but please correct us if you so desire!

We had Chris Patyk on to talk LOST with Sarah, and it was a pretty epic episode (fuck yeah John Locke!) and a pretty dorky segment. Tuggy (Sarah’s best buddy) came in to chat about tugboat lore (quite honestly the most interesting segment we’ve ever had), and then we chatted about ghosts and the experiences that he’s had at his house – and it’s gets a bit creepy. Oh, and Nibs had Ball Talk as well where we chatted about the Blazers and the Olympics and all things sporty – it was glorious.

We closed the show with a karaoke song that we all enjoy, and it was kind of bad. But kind of awesome.

It’s fat Tuesday! So we had pizza for lunch.

Today was a glorious day, the sun is shining, the air is crisp, and Sarah spent the morning waiting in line for food stamps. Oh, the glamour of being poor and unemployed – oh, wait… funemployed! And fun we did have. We chatted about True Blood, the Olympics (yay for curling!), cleaning, burping, our big guest for Friday (so excited), and then went into Ball Talk where Nibs regaled us with tales of peeing golfers, Blazer trade, and a pregnant Olympian. Really.

Sarah had Entertainment News featuring our favorite shitshow Tila Tequila, a Jersey shore racist, a special anniversary, and a pretty damn offensive clip from Family Guy that has Sarah Palin’s knickers in a twist (p.s. Seth McFarlane is going to hell. Wow.)

We finished the show with another installment of “Ronnie and Sammi Sweetheart read movie scripts”, and we both firmly believe it’s the best one to date. We had many, MANY requests for this one, so hope you like it!

Good Monday, folks!
Wow, it was quite the weekend for the Nibman and Sarah! It was Valentine’s Day weekend, and Nibs and Katie celebrated by heading out of town, and Sarah celebrated by hanging out with friends and eating heart-shaped pizzas and drinking jagerbombs. Really. Aaron Duran then came on the show, completely derailing any semblance we had of structure, clutching two giant cans of Four Loko ☺

We discussed Ball Talk, where Nibs regaled us with stories about the Olympics and snowboarding and is so excited for March Madness – we’re going to start a pool so be checking back for updates when we get our chart set up!
We then discussed Sarah’s ghostly encounter last weekend and Aaron weighed in with his educated (and creepy) opinions on what happened. Then the Four Loko kicked in, and Aaron drunkenly harassed Sarah and made lewd comments – it was glorious.

We ended the show with some karaoke that is pretty amazing, and picked the specific song because we had a story about people in the Philippines who are killing people who sing it. Oh, we are dangerous folks, we are.

Today we were both feeling a lot better; sun is shining, the Nibman’s pneumonia is almost gone, and Sarah got her new computer! Nibs woke up this morning ready to be productive – until a broken sink stopped him in his tracks. Today we talked about ghosts (Nibler’s brother just had an experience – what is it with people who spend a lot of time with him?), Arrested Development, My New Vice (awesome local band playing tonight @ Plan B!), and, of course, Dolly Parton.

In Ball Talk Nibler covered everything from the impending Olympic games to the NBA All-Star game, and Sarah covered Alec Baldwin, John Mayer (even more douchey than yesterday, and we have exclusive audio on him!) as well as a naked Snooki.

To round out the show, we decided to do one more edition of “Ronnie and Sammi read movie scripts”; today, we highlighted one of our favorite TV shows of all time… and it was kind of disturbing.

Sarah finally finished Season 3 of Battlestar Galactica (holy crap), and we gave a HUGE spoiler alert for you fine folks that haven’t watched it yet. We also talked (again) about ghosts, karaoke with creepy people, had a LOST recap with Mr. Chris Patyk calling in from Arizona, Ball Talk featuring hot Olympics chicks, taunting althetes with fast food and peepholes. Today was a very special day for Sarah in her Entertainment News because, yes, my friends, she’s no longer a pedophile! Oh wait, that sounds wrong. What we meant to write is that the hot piece of LEGAL meat known as Taylor Lautner (Jacob Black from Twilight) is 18 today! Hot dog! So you’re sayin’ there’s a chance! Not really. She also talked about someone from Jersey Shore getting even bigger boobs, and we had a long discussion about how men get pregnant. Yes, we are really that dumb.

We also had our second installment of “Ronnie and Sammi Sweetheart read movie scripts”– let’s just say it’s a script from a pretty well known movie. Ah, it’s glorious.

So, the Nibman was feeling under the weather this weekend and for good reason – he’s got pneumonia. Yes, my friends, the Nibman is indeed human and has been battling a 104 degree temperature and has fluid in his lungs. Ew. Rest assured though, he’s a tough one and we met up today to do a show!

We started the show with talk of crazy dreams that we’ve both had (and many of them overlap, which is kind of weird), and spoke about being fired, animals, the Puppy Bowl (um, not like anything else is happening this weekend, right? Right!), and Arrested Development. Oh, and scooters and food stamps and Irish punk. Word.

We started off talking about our previous night’s excursions, which led into discussions of waterparks, pushing kids out of the way (Nibler), pretending to have a kid so you can go on a waterslide (Sarah), Mexican strippers, and Columbian druglords. Really.

Nibs had a new Ball Talk where we had discussions about the Blazer/Jazz game yesterday (they got SPANKED) and about Tim Tebow, who continues to be a giant douchebag. Sarah had Entertaining News which dealt with Jersey Shore, a famous model trying to give ‘blowjobs for bail’, and a creepy as fuck looking dude exposing himself all over St. Helens – don’t worry ladies, he’s been caught – and has a HILARIOUS mugshot.

Hey there, folks.

Today was a bit of a somber day here in the studios and since we always speak honestly with you fine folks here it is. Yesterday Sarah found out about the death of a good friend, and it’s been a bit rough but we want to be here for you all. We want each and every one of you to know how important you are to us.

Okay! Whew. That was kind of a tough one to write. Anyway, after addressing what’s going on in our lives, we had a phone call from the one and only Chris Patyk, who now lives and works in Tuscon, AZ! Yes, long-time listeners, he did call to discuss last nights episode of ….LOST! It was kind of amazing. And Nibler’s eyes were glazed over the whole time. We then moved onto a substantially less-dorky subject – Ball Talk! Nibs made his Super Bowl predictions and there is a new bet in place between him and Sarah to see who will win…. what are the stakes for this one? You’ll have to listen to find out. We also had entertainment news that included news of not one, not two, but THREE giant douchebags! Here’s to you, Mel Gibson.

Happy Monday, folks! Holy crap today is fucking ridiculous. Seriously.

So, we all had quite the weekends, which you’ll have to hear the gist of on the show. Oh yes, Sarah is single and went on a date this weekend – hilarity ensued. Also, we both went karaoke-ing this weekend with some old co-workers, and treated them to a special rendition of “Sometimes Good-bye is a Second Chance”. It was glorious, and we have the video to prove it. Since today is Monday, we did, of course, have Aaron Duran in to make our show a complete shitshow. Yes, friends, we deviated into porn talk, sex talk, Ball Talk (in more ways than one), and the fact that Aaron and Sarah are never-nudes. Um, yes. Also, we chatted about nude beaches and nipples. It was the most perverted show we’ve ever had.
